Lazy thoughts on literature and life
The Library of Lazy Thinking is a place for those who love books to hang out. It’s a place to find interesting reading recommendations. It’s a place to ponder literature (and life) in general. It’s a library of “lazy” thinking so unfinished thoughts can develop without an agenda, without pressure, and without the need to draw concrete conclusions. It’s thinking for the pleasure of thinking, whatever may come of it.
The library was created by me, Glenn Fisher. I’m a writer, and a reader. I work as a copywriter and wrote a best-selling book on the subject called The Art of the Click. It’s also been translated into Chinese and Korean, which is nice. These days I try to steal time from my diary to work on various (as yet) undiscovered novels (more on those another time). The Library of Lazy Thinking is something I have—in the first instance, at least—created for myself before anyone else. I love books and this is my place to frolic in that fact. But thankfully, I’m not alone in the library. Alongside my own thoughts on the books I’m reading, in each episode of The Library of Lazy Thinking Podcast, I’m joined by a special guest (authors and other cultured folk) to talk about their own favourite books and the thoughts and feelings those books inspire. (If you’d like to recommend a guest for the show, don’t hesitate to get in touch.)
Thanks for taking the time to visit. I hope you find something you can connect with and enjoy. The Library of Lazy Thinking is free, but any support is welcome. If you enjoy reading the pieces or listening to the podcast, you can help support the library by becoming a paid member (via a small donation of £3.95 a month). All the money generated through donations will be put back into making more cool stuff for the library. Indeed, supporters will receive an exclusive The Library of Lazy Thinking bookmark, sticker, and pin badge, as a thank-you gift. But even if you don’t want to support the library financially, you should subscribe anyway. It’s free to do so and that way you’ll always be kept up to date when there’s a new piece or podcast posted.
Happy reading,
Glenn
